Great concept however pretty lame with the usual masala. Expected better treatment between teacher and the bad guy. Sattai was a great movie compared to this. Dhaush is ok.

When Verghese Kurien met the Soviet PM Alexei Kosygin, the Russian statesman told him that the destruction of the root of all evil is to get rid of all exploiters and enemies of the people at once! Kurien initially disagreed and believed in the peaceful and "democratic" progress of society - in this case, it would be to persuade the Indian people and government to support public education. BUT in the end, Kurien himself admitted that change takes place too slowly when done peacefully. In the case of free education, all people opposing it have to be ousted at once!

Current School system is a lame, British invented manufacturing plant of conditioned laborers. If it has to be made free, it will become a propaganda machine that top few will use to push their agenda on kids to brainwash next gen as they do in USA/Canada via public schools. It shouldn't be schooling rather teaching the art of knowledge seeking and ensuring all necessary tools are available to everyone with necessary caution in place that the powerful will never be able to abuse it to push their agenda. One can dream this might happen but knowing reality doubt anything will change.

Awesome movie! Very good storyline. In Tamil Nadu, Education should be free and preferably in the mother tongue so that the general knowledge can be understood easily from an early age. I understood a lot of things very late only because as a child I learned many things by heart without understanding anything.

Kollywood actors please stick with tamil directors and Tollywood directors pls stick to your actors. 1first Prince then Varisu and now Vathi. The narration and direction doesn't sync up with the taste of tamil audience. Also the disgusting practice of using caste name for characters is. very pathetic. TamilNadu has long came out of this but these directors don't understand all these social practice.
