Good movie. Covers all aspects of Visas and the craze we had a few years ago to go to USA, though we don't see that much of a craze nowadays. Also shows how some desis in USA feel about India.

The way Indians abroad are portrayed in these movies is absolute rubbish. and it has been for the last fifty years. The women are shown as vamps, the men as greedy and selfish. Indians go abroad to earn money, nothing wrong in that. Some look after the parents and some dont, its the same with Indians in India too. Some are annoying and some arent, same as Indians in India. Directors need to get actual good script instead of always relying on some sterotypes.

Siva R, is so correct in his views. This movie is brilliant but the film makers tend to make those Indians leaving abroad as uncultured, money hungry etc... I guess it suits the audience in India. I wonder how quick their script writing will change if all the Indians abroad stopped paying for Indian movies and even stop sending money home.

Agree with the sentiments expressed in the movie. We are all viewers living aboard. We are caught in the rat race. Yet when some of us return to motherland ,boasts how wonderful life is aboard. Is it really all that great????? I have lived in Australia for 45 years, but from Malaysia.

after reading the movie description i really wanted to like the movie as it sounded interesting and something i could probably relate to. sadly proved not to be the case, the acting here was far too amateurish (which sometimes is not a bad thing- as it adds a sense of authenticity to a movie). overly melodramatic in many scenes. it wasn't helped by the one dimensional characters. guess it had a good, but somewhat cliched, message. did not find an engaging watch, pity 1.5/5

wonderful movie but some places it was losing its hold on the story. Didn't care so much about the love story though. Otherwise good emotional movie

some aspects of this movie r 100% on-target & it's not just true for T.A but even other states - & even to elderly-parents in china. Adult sons & daughters abandon their elderly parents more frequently these days. No surprise though. This is relatively "modern" way for treating elderly. Ppl above 80 r admitted to hospice in western nations where some nurse will "care" for them. Advance payment for funeral services r also available. INDEPENDENCE ante idhuve kaadha? FREEDOM ante idhuve kaadha? But, Bharatha desa culture idhu kaadhu. Varnashrama neethi idhu kaadhu.

4 ashrama of bharatha system r: brahmacharya (young age, learning, playing, gather knowledge), grihasthashrama (marriage & work, apply knowledge), vanaprasthashrama (stop-work, explore, develop deeper understanding of self), sannyasa (the final stage: realize the absolute truth of "self").This system is NOT GOOD for businesses & corporations & governments. It reduces the number of years & number of hours a person works. It reduces a person's dependence on "THE SYSTEM" (be it school, or corporations or even old-age homes). Hence, this will be destroyed - slowly, one family at a time.
