Enjoyable movie with a great theme of nonviolence. If only such a noble thought of Ahimsa is practiced toward humans as well, the world will be ideally peaceful. SJ Surya did a great job! Kudos to the team.

Total waste of time. Movie should have been taken as a short story or microstory. Drag .. drag ..drag. Even the moral is poor. Hero shows kindness to a pest in an urban setting. Good luck with his neighbors.

I don't understand why some people are so mean. its just an entertainmnet. Enjoy watching. if you don't like it move on. If you expect a movie with 'songs and fights with punch dialogue, do not watch this; But if you want to watch a movie with some fun with no 'love song, fight garbage' this is a movie for you. Suitable for kids. Yes I agree this could have been made a smaller movie with more editing. But this movie shows that Tamil movie scene is moving to a mature state.

Its a goid movie to watch... very well done... if any one feels it is like mouse hunt... its their problem... learnbto appreciate the good work.... Hollywood movies are made spending years toghther so it will show its quality.... where in india every week hundreds of movies are released in different languages... so he quality also will differ.... This movie they dobe it very well with the available sources and without much drama incorporating the need of India audience..

"Without a hint of Intolerance" GOD has given it life" What a beautiful message. The film is fabulous, a lot of work went into making it, the performance by the lead is impeccable. It is a bit long but it keeps you entertained. It is a wonderful story for children and to watch as a family. It is NOT a copy of Mouse Hunt at all, neither is intent nor in how the story develops. This film Monster is very Hindi, and it depicts a lot of realism and also maybe a romanticized view of The principle of ahimsa, but it is a message of values. Kudos!

Though the fundamental story brings back Nathan Lane's mousetrap, it is totally different, at least the rat is black instead of white :-) Totally different movie and i am glad they didn't copy the hollywood version line by line. Sid's song also very pleasant. Recommend that you wouldn't be disappointed , unless one wants a typical tamil movie.

Loved Priya's acting as always, and rest of the team's acting is great as well. The songs are enjoyable and the plot is calm and enjoyable. Def isn't a movie for someone who loves action and love problems, fights and betrayal. Instead is a light-hearted movie aimed towards kids that explores peace. I agree I wouldn't watch it again but I am glad that Tamil cinema is expanding its perspective to have movies for those who like action and for those who just want a fun, light-hearted film :)
