the dowry system is practiced all over India whether it's legal or not. A simple google search will show you that this travesty happens all over the country. I feel sorry for you that you feel the need to mock Kerala and feel superior. This is a really good movie, and yet this is what you felt was worth commenting on. "Most literature with" the "worst customs" really?? Disgusting, I feel sorry that people have to put up with you.

I don't think this comment is trying to Mock Malayalis...it is a statement of fact and sadness that even if we are totally educated, most literate state, we are not able to abandon these practices. Most advanced in education and we still have these practices that still puts people at a inferior position!
