There is no better acting performance in Tamil Cinema than this one. This film came in 1978 and Rajinikanth's ultra realistic acting cannot be matched even now. No Vetrimaran can come close to Mahendran. Nobody can ever produce such paintings like Balu Mahendra. This is not Tamil cinema. This is world class cinema. I am surpised how Rajinikanth didnt win a national award for this performance?
